Abstract: This study set out to examine the effects of financial repression on economic growth using Nigeria's data and adapted form of McKinnon (1973) and Shaw (1973) models. McKinnon (1973) and Shaw (1973) found that financial repression retards economic growth. Our study found that they were right, that interest rate regulation and control negatively affect investment as low interest rate will discourage savings thereby depriving investment the needed funded and hence retard economic growth. Therefore, to make funds available for investment and enhance economic growth, monetary authorities will have to ease financial repression by raising or/and liberalizing interest rate.

Abstract: In this paper the generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedastic models are applied in modeling exchange rate volatility of the USD/KES exchange rate using daily observations over the period starting 3rd January 2003 to 31st December 2015. The paper applies both symmetric and asymmetric models that capture most of the stylized facts about exchange rate returns such as volatility clustering and leverage effect. The performance of the symmetric GARCH (1, 1) and GARCH-M models as well as the asymmetric EGARCH (1, 1), GJR-GARCH (1, 1) and APARCH (1, 1) models with different residual distributions are applied to data. The most adequate models for estimating volatility of the exchange rates are the asymmetric APARCH model, GJR-GARCH model and EGARCH model with Student's t-distribution.

Abstract: The first limitation to remove urban problems and service inefficiency in most of developing countries such as Iran is due to lack of financial resources, inefficient management, financial and budgetary control and cost planning.Organizations and different service and manufacturing companies compete with each other after strategic planning and considering advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats regarding production or rendering high quality and quantity services with lower costs. Steady development in economics and reduction in costs are of paramount importance in different aspects; and because municipalities are public organizations and have a frequent contact with the people, reducing municipality-related costs are doubly important..........

Abstract: Both profit and nonprofit entity could gain the benefit from planning and control that is provided by the budget. In preparing the budget, it is good to differenciate the needs with the availability of budget, therefore, it will be executed properly with participative budgeting system. Many accounting management studies pay attention on the issue of participation budgeting in relation to managerial performance and produce opposition empirical results. The difference in the results of empirical studies occurs because the relationship of budget participation and managerial performance depend on situational factors, or better known as a Contingency Variable.

Abstract: The study investigates the stability relationship between economic growth and public debt in Nigeria from 1984-2013. The study was guided by two objectives; examining the impact of domestic and external debt on economic performance, and the long run relationship between public debt and economic growth in Nigeria. Adopting multiple regression,we analyzed the data and discovered that external debt is not a good determinant of Nigeria's economic performance while domestic debt has a significant impact on the Nigeria's economic growth. It is believed that most of the domestic debt was linked to capital projects by successful administrations........

Abstract: One of the distinctive features of the modern world is the rapid expansion of economic, scientific, technological and cultural ties among nations. Trade is an important and integral part of relations between different nations. India's trade relations with the Bahrain has transformed considerably over the years and the bilateral trade volume has surpassed US$ 920.4 million mark in 2014, but the structure and pattern of trade is yet to be diversified. There are huge potentials for diversifying India's export structure based on certain new growth sectors in which India has global comparative advantage with respect to the Bahrain's imports structure.
